DAMASCUS, Apr 21 (PRIME) -- The government of Syria has started signing contracts with several Russian oil and gas companies, President Bashar al-Assad told PRIME in an interview on Friday.
“We have already started (signing contract) with some of these companies after the visit (of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin to Syria)…The Syrian market is now free for Russian companies to come, join us and play an important role in restoration of Syria and investment in Syria,” he said.
Some Russian oil and gas producers have already joined the process during the past several months. “And the process of signing of contracts, let’s say, steps for signing of these contracts are going on right now,” he said.
